It’s finally here! After months of writing, reading, revisions, commenting, re-revising, hoping and repeated checking of emails, the shortlisted plays of the Little Wonder Radio Plays Competition 2018 will be receive a public reading this Sunday. After the reading, the audience will vote on their favourite piece, and their votes will be combined with judges scoring to choose the winner- announced on New Years Eve. Full details of the reading are below – good luck to all or shortlisted writers!
MOVING PARTS MAILING
This week we have no less than five authors for you. But don’t panic : each play is only 10-15 minutes long. Last July, Keith Crawford of Little Wonder* launched a competition sponsored by the BBC to write a 10-15 minute radio play. Five months and almost 300 submissions later (the judges are still recovering) the final round of the competition will be held as a Moving Parts reading, after which the audience will be asked to contribute to the selection of the winner. So don’t miss this never-before (and quite possibly never-again) experience!
Oh yes, and Happy Christmas or whatever alternative you celebrate 🙂
Please arrive between 7pm and 7.25pm as we have to lock the street door, after which I can only come up and let you in at a convenient moment in the script. So if you arrive late and find the door locked, please do not hammer on it! Send me an sms on 06.14.67.18.58 and I’ll come upstairs and let you in as soon as I can. Please don’t send an e-mail as I have a dumbphone 🙂
City 27 is at 27, cité industrielle, just 2 minutes from metro Voltaire, first left off rue Camille Desmoulins, which is off the avenue Parmentier opposite the Mairie du XIème.
