Warmest congratulations to all our shortlistees, and to everyone on the longlist who worked so hard to revise and improve their work. We were blown away not only by the overall quality, but the quality of response to our feedback and the effort you all put in to improve. I sincerely hope to see more work from all of you in the future.
On 16th December all 5 listed pieces will be read and recorded before a public audience, who will then vote for a winner. Their votes will be combined with those of our judges, and the final winner will be announced on New Year’s Eve.
I have already been in touch with one or two people who didn’t make it this far, and you may yet receive and email from me about your work. If you were on the longlist and would like some feedback, please get in touch and I’ll come back to you as soon as I can. And whether we speak again or not, please, please remember what an awesome achievement it is to complete a play, submit it (very scary), and have it considered and appreciated by judges. You’re all heroes.
