After last years competition resulted in more than 300 entries, over 70 pieces of individual feedback, and by the end of this year at least 9 published plays, we’re back. This is the second of our competitions this year for original unpublished 1600-2000 word full cast audio dramas for up to 4 actors.

Humanity will be extinguished in under seven days. Jude and Hamid, the starfighter pilots who saved the world from alien invasion, are trapped in a cycle of media events, PTSD, and alcoholism. Jude wants to fall pregnant before the world ends. Hamid just wants to stop the creepy messages from his dead ex-husband. But does what you want matter when the sky is falling in?
Elianor Paine is a Magistrate of the Peace in the Kingdom of Trist and a republican secret agent. She has 6 days to subvert her investigation, supplant war-hero Lord Vile, then coerce his adult children to start a revolution, before her masters discover the truth and have her killed. Just how far is she willing to go? And can she change the world without changing herself?
Toby Frost is one of our writers (that’s how it works with Little Wonder – once you’ve written me a play I own you forever.) He’s also well known for his Space Captain Smith series of novels and for being an all round great bloke. Recently, he took the incredibly brave move of branching away from his publisher (with whom he still works) and self-publishing his passion project – a set of complex, multi-faceted urban fantasy novels known he has called the Dark Renaissance series. The second in the series, Blood Under Water, has recently been released and because we love Toby and his work, here’s a review of a book you definitely aught to go and buy.

All our shows are published under a creative commons no derivative license, which means you are free to share and republish our work provided you don’t make any changes and you credit it back to us.
