Well, between global pandemics, theatre closures, and the majority of the people I know in the arts desperately struggling to make ends meet (because the UK government says we aren’t important and should get proper jobs – whilst obviously not watching TV, reading books are partaking of any form of entertainment other than grouse shooting), this has taken much longer than expected. But, here we are, the shortlist for the 2020 Little Wonder Radio Play Competitions is:
Ecosystem X by Amber Elen-Forbat
Shampoo the Carpet by Declan Kennedy
The Last Parent-Teacher Meeting by Denise Deegan
Television is Bad for You by Mark Blayney
Tomatoes are Scary by Paul Stone
Warmest congratulations to everyone who made the longlist and made our lives so very difficult! The plays for the shortlist will be broadcast via a Zoom performance at some point in December: further details to follow.
Well done Amber, Declan, Denise, Mark and Paul!
