There are 7 days to go before the deadline of the Kickstarter on 30th November. As I write this, we are at 77% of our target of £2000, after only 19 days of fundraising! Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated. We are so, so close to making this dream a reality. We just need one more push.

1. Buy a signed copy of the book
This is a great way to support the project and be part of the adventure. P&P is included, and I’ll write a personalised message inside. By choosing to pay a little bit extra for the book you’re helping me take another strong step towards publication. If ten more people buy the book this way, then we’ll be published. It’s that simple.
2. Buy a discount copy of the book.
Until November 30th you can get an unsigned copy of the book, P&P included for £9. After the Kickstarter is finished, if we hit our targets, you’ll have to get it off Amazon for £11 and pay for P&P. For those of you who just want the book, maybe don’t know me that well and are looking for a bargain – here it is!
3. Come to the parties
I know there are a number of people who have said they are coming but have yet to buy a ticket. This creates logistical problems for me! We have two excellent venues, good food, champagne, you get a signed copy of the book thrown in – for 30 euros/pounds this is a seriously good deal. I need you to book the tickets ASAP so that I don’t have to start scaling down the events. Which will be a serious bugger if everyone books in the last 24 hours. BUY YOUR TICKET NOW!
It’s worth noting that I’m completely happy for you to bring kids (they don’t need tickets, it’s not a kid’s book) – La Place Rouge in particular is very child friendly. Equally, if you have friends you want to bring along but who don’t feel ready to participate in the Kickstarter, pop me an email, tell them to bring a 20 pound note in their pocket (or, if there in England and struggling because the eonomy is down the toilet, whatever they can afford), and we’ll get them drunk and try to convince them to buy a copy on the night.

4. If you’ve already donated – tell people (or tell people again)
There is no more powerful force in marketing than having a friend recommend the product. Even if you’ve already shared the link, there is no more powerful force in human nature than the tendency to completely forget something they swore they would remember. Until they a reminded. Repeatedly. This probably helps explain my social media stream this month! (sorry)
So take a moment to share this link, or share the direct link to the Kickstarter, and remind people that you’ve funded it, that it’s awesome (I promise), and that it needs their help.

This isn’t just about one book. The money raised from this Kickstarter will help me publish the next book, and the one after that.
But it isn’t just about my books, either.
Under the Little Wonder platform I’ll be able to support, develop and publish other writers who maybe don’t have the same relentless ego as I . It will enable me to expand our Radio Play work, our outreach to unpublished writers, queer writers, writers of colour and others who find glass ceilings every time they try to raise their head.
